FitBit Report

So I've tried lots of diets in the past to lose weight and have lost a little here and there but wasn't really understanding the connection of exactly how I was losing it. For example, on weight watchers I counted points. But somedays, I wanted a big dessert, so I wouldn't eat much of anything so that I would have enough points left for that dessert. The "points" didn't mean anything to me.

With FitBit this has all changed! Now I have a way to track exactly what is going into my body by way of calories eaten, and exactly how much is leaving my body, by way of calories burned. I can SEE the correlation between what I'm eating and how it effects my weight gain or loss. I have always written down everything I ate, which helped influence my decisions a little, but now I can see how exactly many calories foods have, how much sodium and other things are going into my body. I can now see that, ok, if I eat that cake, then I need to exercise more and burn more calories to work it off. Everything is laid out nicely with all sorts of graphs and charts!

Now, if I'm not losing the weight I can see why and know it is my own fault. I am also more motivated to exercise more and try new things. As long as I keep y calories burned line higher than the calories eaten line on the graph, I should lose weight! Easy as Pie! Except that I got into a major bike crash and am injured, so my exercise is fairly limited right now. Anyway, here are some screen shots from my log in page, a few graphs are missing, but you get the point. You can buy a FitBit at fitbit.com for $100 and all the software is FREE! Awesome deal!

This shows the percentage I've made toward my goal of walking 35 miles a week, how many calories I've eaten that day vs burned, steps taken that day and what time they were, and a pie chart is missing of how many hours I have been active vs sedentary.

This next page is a running total of my calories eaten vs burned, you can see the days I splurged and was lazy at the same time where the blue pops over the red, my daily steps for the month by day, how active I was each day, and my weight each day for the month.

Now go out and get one and add me as a friend on your page and we can share results and challenge each other!
